So that’s kind of what I’m thinking about right now. If I start to develop a new agent in copilotkit or if I should try to integrate with the IDE I actually use for work. Saying “I’m going to build my own IDE” sounds a lot more trivial when I’m talking shit in openwebui than when I’m actually in the IDE hahahah.

Now that I’m sitting here in zed it makes me think I should be doing more local stuff. Yeah I get that I really should be developing web applications instead of local applications, but I’m wanting to develop better coding agents and they need an actual environment to run in.

Yeah more I think about it using zed signed in using up my autocompletes [probably] is that I do need to work on just building UIs myself and might as well do it in the browser.

Yeah I’m looking at Agent Client Protocol interface for claude code that they use to stick claude code into zed because of the insurmoutable demand for claude code and I could do something like that for my agent, but that is not what I’m looking for.

Reason I really want to do web native that can connect to my laptop [I already have vs code server running on my laptop but it is highly unstable] is that I post my thoughts online through the web-based interfaces instead of opening up my zed IDE at home on the weekend to write. I write code with zed all week. I’d really love to have a place to write and work that’s not just a local IDE tbh.

None of these states are idea. I’d like to be able to just start having a conversation and the tasks taht need to be handed off to the coding agent just happen and it doesn’t really neccesarily monopolize the conversation but I mean in a sense it sort of might.

I need the agent to act AND think and report back what it’s thinking so if I see #!/usr/bin/python3 and that mfer knows it needs to use uv then see, we have a problem. And while I’m talking all this shit about parallel streams of conversation being integrated by a single UI so I can talk to an LLM while another one does my bidding, I’d love to be able to talk to an LLM with the same conversational history as the current one but just interceded so I can know exactly what currently running thread thinks about shit. You see what I mean. To be able to teleport around the state like that.

Do I try to weld explicit state into dspy in some reasonable manner to “langgraphify” DSPy, or do I just build a new framework from scratch with the best of say dspy for learning/programming instead of prompting, langgraph state management, and like I don’t know letta or something for memory usage
